THE 39TH MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
Officially elected into office by the student body of Faculty of Engineering on 27th August 2016.
Jedd Woon, President
Currently a second year student, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Jedd sets the directions with the Presidential Cell (P-Cell) for Engin Club. He guides the Management Committee in their direction, and ensures the Directors and P-Cell members always have the bigger purpose of the Club in mind.
Jedd also sits on the NUSSU Council, representing the Students of the Faculty of Engineering in matters that affects the students of NUS.
Kaung Mon Thu, Vice President (Internal)
Kaung is a Year 2 Environmental Sciences Engineering Student. His passion and experience in Freshmen Camps is the main reason for taking up the role of the Internal Vice President, leading the Freshmen Orientation Projects (FOP) for the Club. On top of that, he leads the ENGR House Committees in their direction and day to day operations, especially during the Summer vacations when all the camps happen.
Kaung is also part of the P-Cell.
Jodie Loi, Vice President (External)
Jodie is a second year Chemical Engineering student, and the previous Publications Director (38th MC). She oversees and reviews the publicity methods and practices of the Club, and ensures a consistent and professional image is portrayed to the public.
Jodie is also part of the P-Cell of the Club, and sits on the NUSSU Council.
Tan Hong Yan, Financial Secretary
Hong Yan is a 2nd year Material Sciences Engineering Student, and as the Financial Secretary, he manages and ensures the financial health of the Club, budgeting with the President for each of Committees and Sub-Clubs to ensure success in all the activities.
Hong Yan is also part of the P-Cell, and sits on the NUSSU Council.
Lim Yu Han, Secretary of Student Affairs
Yu Han is a Year 2 Biomedical Engineering Student and as the Student Affairs Secretary, she sits on the Presidential Cell and assist in leading the Club. She works closely with the Office of Student Life to improve and enhance student welfare: facilities and services, academic welfare, and student life vibrancy. She also works with the NUSSU Welfare Cell and the Board of Undergraduate Studies to push forth and work on a new or existing initiatives.
Yu Han is also part of the P-Cell.
Teo Yong Shun, General Secretary
Yong Shun is currently a second year Chemical Engineering Student and as the General Secretary, he sits on the Presidential Cell and assist in leading the Club and plays an advisory role to directors. He is also in charge of the administrative and internal operations of the Club, enforcing discipline within the Club.
Yong Shun is also part of the P-Cell, and sits on the NUSSU Council.
Pan Jie Ling, student life director
Jie Ling is a first year Biomedical Engineering student. She plans and executes events like Halloween and Engin Day, the flagship event that celebrates and boosts the unity of the faculty and the various courses. She also assists the Office of Student Life with the planning and execution of the annual Commencement and Engin Welcomes You.
Brenna Sim, sports director
Brenna is a second year Environmental Sciences Engineering student. Leading the Sports Committee, she aims to promote various recreational sports and games amongst members of the Engineering Faculty, such as the annual Engin Run. She also provides support to our sportsmen and sportswomen who participate actively during the annual Inter-Faculty Games.
Samantha Chang, welfare director
Samantha is a first year Biomedical Engineering student. As the welfare director, her role is viral in improving the well-being of the Engineering undergraduate population. She vivifies school life through various welfare events and initiatives such as the Exam Welfare Pack Giveaway. Furthermore, she is in charge of creating an effective channel in obtaining students’ feedback by engaging the students.
Jeremy Chew, o'week director
Jeremy is a year one Mechanical Engineering student and his main role is to plan and execute Engin Orientation Week for the incoming freshmen. He is involved in all Engin Club Recruitment Drives (sub-committee, councillors, etc.), NUS Open Day and Returning NS Men Talks to publicize Engineering Freshmen Orientation Programmes (FOP) and Engin Club to the incoming freshmen. He is part of the Freshmen Orientation Central Committee (FOCC) and work towards enhancing the FOP experience for the freshmen.
Ng Hong Jie, rag director
Hong Jie is a first year student in Environmental Engineering and he is in charge of planning and executing Engin Rag. He is also involved in all Engin Club Recruitment Drives (sub-committee, councillors, etc.), NUS Open Day and Returning NS Men Talks to publicize Engineering Freshmen Orientation Programmes (FOP) and Engin Club to the incoming freshmenHe is a part of the Freshmen Orientation Central Committee (FOCC) and work towards enhancing the FOP experience for the freshmen
Marcus Lo, camp director
Marcus is a first year Chemical Engineering student and he is in charge of planning and executing Engin Camp. He is also involved in all Engin Club Recruitment Drives (sub-committee, councillors, etc.), NUS Open Day and Returning NS Men Talks to publicize Engineering Freshmen Orientation Programmes (FOP) and Engin Club to the incoming freshmen. He is a part of the Freshmen Orientation Central Committee (FOCC).
Fang Yuan, public relations director
Fang Yuan is a second year Electrical Engineering student. He is in charge of all the publicity platforms such as the Club’s Facebook page, Instagram and website. He also assists, advises and supports the Engin Club Sub-Committees in media and provide media coverage for the Club. His goal is to uphold the professional image of Engin Club.
Matthew Woo, publications director
Matthew is a first year Mechanical Engineering student. He is in charge of organising and handling the publications of Engin Magazine ‘The FUSE’, and materials that engage the Engineering community. He constantly comes up with fresh topics to capture the students’ attention.
Sean Lee, business (marketing) director
Sean is a first year Mechanical Engineering student. He liaises with the Engin Club’s Main Sponsors (Shell, DSO, RSAF) and market the Club to them so as to continue their sponsorship into the next year. He also represents Engin Club in NUSSU Central Marketing Committee to ensure that Engin Club’s interests are taken care of in their marketing drives. Furthermore, he coordinates the marketing efforts from the various sub-committees to project a consistent image and to ensure that all terms within their proposals can be met.
Farah Ramjoo, business (venture) director
Farah is a first year Mechanical Engineering student. She leads the Business Committee in organising the sale of Faculty of Engineering Merchandise such as FoE shirts and jackets. She is responsible for any revenue generating opportunities that can help Engin Club. She also works with other directors for their events (i.e. Valentine’s Day)
Xue guan ying, academic affairs director
Guan Ying is a first year Industrial Systems Engineering student. He leads the Academic Affairs Committee to collate feedback regarding academia within the Faculty, and also to source for helpful academic information to assist students in FoE.
Cheryl Teng, Logistics Director
Cheryl is a first year Mechanical Engineering student. She manages the logistics owned by Engin Club and facilitates loaning of equipment to the various committees and sub-clubs. She also ensures cleanliness of the Clubroom and assits with events in Engin Club during her term.
Ang Wei Xiang, ASsistant Financial Secretary
Wei Xiang is a first year Electrical Engineering student. He assists the Financial Secretary with financial processes and finances of the sub-clubs. He also helps assist flag events within the Faculty of Engineering.
Adrian Peh, Flag Director
Adrian is a first year Electrical Engineering Student. As Flag director, he works together with his committee to interact with the Faculty's beneficiaries, and help cultivate both a sense of pride and commitment between students of the Faculty and beneficiaries of FoE.
